Ed is a versatile comedy and drama writer with both UK and international experience. In the US, he co-wrote and exec produced Mike Myers’ Netflix comedy series THE PENTAVERATE; in Germany, he co-wrote three episodes of hit Channel 4 drama import DEUTSCHLAND ’89, as well as a feature film for the producers of the one-continuous-take hit German thriller VICTORIA; while in the UK his latest drama pilot is under option with ITV Studios’ Silverprint Pictures. Previous work includes two Urban Myths made for Sky Arts, co-written with Roger Drew. The first, WHEN CARY GRANT INTRODUCED TIMOTHY LEARY TO LSD, starred Ben Chaplin and Aidan Gillen, the British Comedy Guide calling it “probably the weirdest and most inventive thing you’ll see on TV this year”. The second, THE DALI & THE COOPER, starred David Suchet and Noel Fielding, with an original score by Jarvis Cocker and Richard Hawley. Past credits include DEAD RINGERS, MAN STROKE WOMAN and COMIC RELIEF. Ed was a core writer on five series of hit BBC1 sitcom MY FAMILY, and co-wrote and script-edited the double BAFTA-winning CBBC series HEDZ. He directed a BBC pilot of his first script for television, and his first short film as director was selected for screening at the Oscar-qualifying Atlanta Film Festival.
