Helen Farrall (she/her) is an award-winning screenwriter with over 25 years’ experience working across television, theatre and multi-media. She has taught scriptwriting to MA level and acted as a consultant for TV and theatre companies. Helen has scripted some of TV’s most popular programmes including SHAKESPEARE & HATHAWAY, DOCTORS, CROSSROADS, DREAM TEAM and BAD GIRLS. She was also a storyliner on EMMERDALE. Her work has been part of Emmy, BAFTA and Royal Television Society award-winning series and has been screened internationally. Helen’s children’s credits include BYKER GROVE, GRANGE HILL, JEOPARDY, JESS THE BORDER COLLIE, CHILDREN’S WARD and GIGGLEBIZ and animation series including THOMAS AND FRIENDS, BING, BOB THE BUILDER, GO JETTERS and POSTMAN PAT. In 2021, her drama serial script RECONSTRUCTED was long-listed for the Red Planet Prize. Helen is currently working on original ideas.
