Linda wrote for BBC Scotland’s flagship drama RIVER CITY from 2020 to the end of the series and racked up an impressive roster of work on the show; her debut episode was nominated for a TV Foundation’s New Voices Award at the Edinburgh Film & TV Festival. Further work includes BBC Children’s Digital Learning TIME FOR A STORY series, BBC Alba’s FUNC, and storywriting for WATERLOO ROAD. She was also one of BBC Writersroom’s Scottish Voices for 2020-21. Previously nominated for the CWA’s Debut Dagger, Linda’s novel ORIGINAL SINS was published this year, and has just been shortlisted for the Bloody Scotland Debut Prize. The pilot episode for her adaptation of the book was selected for Special Mention at the Edinburgh Film & TV Festival and shortlisted for the UK TV Drama Writing Programme. As well as writing for television, Linda has written extensively for the stage – her play DESCENT toured in 2017, garnering a nomination for a Critics’ Award for Theatre (CATS) for Best New Play, and winning a Spirit of the Fringe Award. Other produced work includes THE MERRY WIVES OF THE WYNDFORD and TAKE ME IF YOU NEED ME (Glasgow’s Oran Mor), MACPHERSON’S RANT (Byre Theatre), and THE PEOPLE’S PLACE and NO JOKE (In Cahootz Company).
