Writer of CBBC/Can Can Productions’ new teen comedy HIGH HOOPS – broadcast March 2025, and with a second series already commissioned – Sinéad has made her name writing strong, funny, female characters. With a background in TV production and journalism, she has previously been a regular writer on RTE’s long-running soap FAIR CITY and written sketches for BBC NI’s SOFT BORDER PATROL and both series of CBBC’s THE JOHNNY & INEL SHOW (with Justin Carr). Other children’s work includes episodes for Jam Media’s LITTLE ROY, Hot Drop’s CUBY ZOO, Kavaleer’s ALVA’S WORLD, RTE historical sketch show BLASTS FROM THE PAST, and several series of ODDBODS (with Justin Carr) – series 2 and 3 of which were nominated for an International Emmy Kids Award. Sinéad has also developed original TV comedies with BBC Comedy North, Hat Trick and Can Can Productions/ Channel 4, and a feature-length comedy with Parallel Films. She currently has a family feature film in development with Treasure Entertainment (under Screen Ireland’s New Writing Scheme).
