Lisa McMullin

Lisa has quickly established herself as a writer on BBC continuing drama series, writing for DOCTORS and EASTENDERS, before joining the RTS and BAFTA Award-winning writing team on CASUALTY  (2023). She has written a pilot for Showtime and was commissioned in 2021 to write a script for John Yorke’s BBC Studios’ Writers’ Workshop, while also writing an episode of Jimmy McGovern’s MOVING ON the same year. Prior to writing for television, Lisa made her name writing for the theatre, in plays such as SIREN SONG, PRICELESS and RAPTURE. Other recent work includes a number of audio dramas for Big Finish – including episodes of THE EIGHTH DOCTOR, GALLIFREY: TIME WAR, ROSE TYLER: THE DIMENSION CANNON, TORCHWOOD, and 2021 Audie Award-winning DOCTOR WHO – STRANDED series 1. As well as writing for the latest series of DEATH IN PARADISE, Lisa is currently developing a contemporary drama series with Jed Mercurio’s HTM Television and writing on series 3 of  Britbox’s SISTER BONIFACE MYSTERIES. She also has original dramas under option with Wall to Wall, Red Planet Pictures and BBC Studios.
