Ian Brown

Ian has written for many top comedy shows. He was Executive Producer/Head Writer on MY FAMILY, and writer/show runner on three series of AFTER YOU’VE GONE (BBC). Three series of THE BREAK (Absolutely Productions) have been broadcast on Radio 4, the most recent in 2020. With James Hendrie, he wrote the BBC sitcom HOME AGAIN, and was commissioned to adapt Agatha Christie’s WHY DIDN’T THEY ASK EVANS? for the big screen. Among his other credits, Ian numbers MY HERO, DRESSING FOR BREAKFAST, MURDER MOST HORRID, DROP THE DEAD DONKEY, HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU, NOT THE NINE O’CLOCK NEWS, ALAS SMITH & JONES, WEEK ENDING and NEWS HUDDLINES. He also co-created DIAL M FOR PIZZA (two series) and TALES FROM THE MAUSOLEUM CLUB (two series) for BBC Radio.
