Carl is a writer for film, television, and graphic novels. His writing for features includes the UK prison drama PROVOKED, terrorism thriller SHOOT ON SIGHT, supernatural horror film AAKE, and Bollywood romantic drama MAUSUM. He has written over 200 hours of produced television drama, serving as Lead Writer on the Star Plus series OPERATION COBRA and a core writer on RTE’s long-running flagship soap FAIR CITY, as well as penning episodes of ITV’s award-winning continuing drama series THE BILL. Carl is a longtime board member of the Writers Guild of Ireland, where he is currently serving his second term as Vice Chair. He is developing several projects with a focus on black and marginalised characters, including an Irish period gangland drama, a UK conspiracy thriller series, and a feature set during the 1970’s US civil rights movement.
