Pete Hambly

Pete came to screenwriting after a period as a medical advisor on shows like KAVANAGH QC and A&E, before going on to write several episodes of HOLBY CITY and CASUALTY and becoming a member of the HOLBY story team. Pete’s experience as a doctor, and his intimate working knowledge of the world of hospitals, has also fed much of his original work, and he has developed projects for BBC Northern Ireland, Size 9, Little Island Productions and Working Title TV, amongst others.  Pete has also appeared on radio, as writer/performer and pianist on Radio 4’s satirical comedy 28 MINUTES TO SAVE THE NHS. He has recently been developing a series fusing the genres of medical and crime drama, while also writing episodes for SILENT WITNESS.
